Giving Tree Music provides drums to participants for active guided playing as they learn about the history and cultural importance of African music and drumming circles. Families and all ages enjoy  beating the drums together with traditional rhythms in a big circle. Individuals are periodically  invited to join the instructor in leading special short rhythm sequences for the group to imitate, which is a favorite activity among children.

Day 1Open Alpha

Circus Campers learn a variety of circus arts including: triple and single trapeze, globes, silks, rola bola, hula hoop, low wire, clowning, flying trapeze, juggling, and much more! Sign up your child(ren) for a truly unique experience. Ages 6-15 Years OldCampers must be at least six years old and have completed kindergarten (Spring 2022) before attending Circus Camp. There are no exceptions and accommodations cannot be made for age/grade level or siblings. Monday-Friday 9am-3pm (drop off begins at 8:55am) $350 Tuition for one this One Week Session   (Photo taken Pre COVID-19)

For mobile babies to 5 years old. Drop in to enjoy a special uninterrupted playtime with your child in our FREE Partners in Play® (PIP) groups. Meet our friendly Parenting Educators and discover how play and learning go hand-in-hand. Space is limited, pick up a ticket at the Youth Desk the day of the event. Forty Carrots has made adjustments to this program to accommodate new COVID protocol.

Join for a relaxing sketch session! Each session we'll talk about fundamentals of sketching and do some practice sketches. Follow along or bring your own reference pictures and practice your sketching skills! *Registration requiredThis session we're going to learn to draw elegant ships and sailboats at sea.Come by and feel free to bring your own pencils, charcoals, and paper or you can use ours if you like.

Thank you for your interest in providing public comment to the Sarasota County School Board during the in-meeting Hearing of Citizens section and/or the general Hearing of Citizens section of the upcoming School Board meeting. The School Board is no longer offering the option of submitting either type of Hearing of Citizens public comment via email. Both in-meeting Hearing of Citizens public comment and general Hearing of Citizens public comment must now again be made in-person either during the School Board meeting or after the meeting's adjournment respectively.The opportunity to email public comment was a temporary measure initially put in place at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic as a courtesy to ensure the public's access to the in-meeting Hearing of Citizens section of Board meetings would not be unduly hindered by COVID-19 restrictions (the general Hearing of Citizens section did not exist at the time). As COVID-19 restrictions have been progressively lifting citizens have demonstrated a steadily increasing comfort-level with moving about the community in a variety of ways including attending School Board meetings in-person. Therefore the public comment email address was deactivated.Since the temporary measure of emailing public comments is no longer in effect any emails pursuant to the in-meeting Hearing of Citizens section &ndash sent to all (or individual) School Board members the School Board's administrative assistant the Superintendent and/or any other school district employee(s) &ndash will not be included in that School Board meeting's legal minutes. The general Hearing of Citizens section is not a part of the official School Board meeting. Therefore none of the public's comments made in this section &ndash whether a person delivers comments in-person or attempts to send comments via email &ndash are reflected in a School Board meeting's legal minutes.
